Trails to Walk This Weekend

Posted on April 12, 2023 at 11:15 AM by Claire Rodgers

One of the great things about Liberty is the variety of walking trails! If you are wanting to get a good workout in, take a leisurely walk or even just get a change of scenery, Liberty has the trail for you!

Cates Creek Greenway – 2030 Southview Dr., Liberty MO 64068

If you’re in the mood for an easy walk, Cates Creek Greenway is what you’re looking for. This two-mile, linear trail is fully paved. It’s perfectly parallel with 291 highway, so you won’t be too deep into the wilderness. Walk alone or walk with a group – it’s wide enough for everyone!

For those looking to amp up their exercise routine and get more immersed in nature, Stocksdale Park is calling your name! There are two natural surface (unpaved) trails to pick from - a 1 mile loop or a 5.5 mile loop. Bring your dog, your mountain bike or just yourself! Hike through Stocksdale Park and take in the scenery! This park also features an 18-hole disc golf course that makes a great walk through the entire park.
